Patrick:
Deep Capture part one is very informative, but I was taken aback by just how enormous the problem is. Even so I await part two. Question: Regulation SHO dosen’t seem to have any effect on the Hedge funds. What can the average citizen and share holder do, If even congress seems to be helpless?

Very intrigued with your talk on Capture!
I was wondering your opinion on the Oil Industry
and how it plays in to Capture.
I will look for you reply.

Fred,
I believe the oil industry certainly possesses powerful lobbies at both the state and federal level, and has a strong hand in shaping our foreign policy. But ultimately my sense is that the strings that the financial industry pulls are even more powerful.

I wanted to commend CEO of Overstock.com on his response to the controversy over Ron Paul being excluded from Fox News NH debate.
As a Paul supporter, I do not subscribe to those who favor boycotting Fox advertisers. I do favor contacting advertisers and asking them to contact the network, expressing their displeasure. Which is exactly what Overstock’s CEO did.
One of the most ridiculous Fox-led “boycots” was Bill O’Reilley’s effort to get viewers to boycot all services and products of French companies because O’Reilly did not like the lack of support France gave U.S. in run-up to war with Iraq. That would hurt million of innocent employees, many who work right here in America.
I appreciate your direct response, making a public support of Dr. Paul and keeping your own politics out of marketing/business decisions. Finally, I’ve never used your company before, but now plan to!
As an unorthodox marketing effort, you’ve sold me and, I bet made “lemonade” out of lemons.
Good luck and thanks again!

Thanks Bill. We’re nothing if not “unorthodox” around here.

Joe,
I will respond in all CAPS to your points, not to express shouting, but merely to distinguish our voices.
Deep Capture part one is very informative, THANKS
but I was taken aback by just how enormous the problem is. THAT’S TWO OF US
Even so I await part two. OK. FEEL FREE TO DO IT!
Question: Regulation SHO dosen’t seem to have any effect on the Hedge funds. What can the average citizen and share holder do, If even congress seems to be helpless?”
NOT TOO MUCH, I FEAR, BEYOND WRITING YOUR CONGRESSIONAL DELEGATION. I HAVE HAD FAIR OPPORTUNITY IN RECENT YEARS TO WITNESS THE EFFECT IT HAS ON POLITICIANS TO RECEIVE LETTERS FROM CONSTITUENTS. TRUE, THEY PERSONALLY DO NOT READ THEM ALL. BUT THEY READ MANY, AND THEY ALL GET REPORTS OF THE FORM, “HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE WRITTEN ON THIS ISSUE #1, HOW DID THEY BREAK ON IT? AND ON ISSUE #2?” ETC.
THAT IS TRUE OF BOTH SIDES OF THE AISLE. THERE MAY BE MANY THINGS FOR WHICH A CITIZEN CAN SLAM DC, BUT YOUR LETTERS THERE DO NOT JUST GO INTO A BIG GARBAGE BIN SOMEWHERE. THEY REALLY MATTER.

I FEAR THAT IS NOT MUCH MORE I CAN SUGGEST.
REGARDS,
PATRICK
